Guitar
Pro 2.16
File Size: 805K
Minimum Requirements: Windows 95, Sound Card
Guitar Pro is a guitar tablature
editor for four-, five-, and six-string guitars.
Create tablature with this user-friendly interface. Program
features include MIDI and ASCII input/output, playback, and more.
Transpose your creations or work in different keys using the
Solfa
assistant. Guitar Pro also features printing options.
Super Guitar Chord Finder 2.0
File Size: 653K
Minimum Requirements: Windows 95
This program uses an intuitive
interface to help you learn chords.
You might imagine that it would be difficult for a program to
accurately
show you how to play chords, but this one works really well. It
can be
tweaked for lefties, features an easy-access list of chords (each
with
alternate options for playing the chord) and shows you where to
put
your fingers on a virtual guitar fret board. It will also play
you the chord,
so you can tell if you're doing it right.
Tab Transcriber
File Size: 1.05M
Minimum Requirements: Windows 95, Sound Card (optional)
Tab Transcriber is a notation
software for fretted string instruments,
including guitar, bass, banjo, and mandolin. The software
transcribes
standard MIDI files into the tablature of your choice: custom
tunings for
almost any instrument may be defined and saved in a library of
tunings. The
resulting fret positions may be modified with little effort to
fit the
preference of the player.
Some of the files on this page are only
downloadable in ZIP format. To decompress them you will need an
unzipping program. Here is a link to a good one. Unzipped
backgrounds are in BMP format.
